Free Software Movement



The FOSS or 'Free and Open Source Software' movement has achieved a lot since its inception in the eighties of the last century. In contrast to the 'Open Source Movement', we believe in the universal applicability of the following four freedoms:

However I would want stronger protection of these freedoms in the context of derivative works than is afforded by the GNU GPL. Dual licensing is another problem that is best avoided.

I do most of my programming in GNU/R, Lisp/Scheme, Prolog and markup languages. Most of the packages that I develop are too specialized. Some of these relate to rough computing.
